视频中，拍摄者大声质疑，“孩子哪不好，就是迟到一会，把孩子头发给剃了……”画面中，一名身穿白色羽绒服的女子被多人围观指责。一时间，“永年育英学校学生因迟到被老师强制推头”的视频被转发，造成极大影响。
对此，邯郸市永年区育英学校高度重视并立即调查。经向当事学生、教师、学生家长调查了解，2019年1月14日早晨，八年级16班单某某等4名学生早读迟到。班主任徐某把4位学生叫到办公室，对他们进行批评教育，为引起学生高度重视，不再重犯，以警示学生“从‘头’做起”为名，对学生采取了理发推头的错误处罚方式，严重违背了教师职业道德和职业操守，引起了家长的强烈不满。
鉴于以上情况，经校委会研究决定，对责任教师徐某予以辞退处理。
同时，育英学校向社会做出公开道歉，这一事情的发生，暴露出学校在教师队伍建设上存在薄弱环节，教育管理工作不到位，问题出在教师身上，责任在学校，“在此向当事学生、学生家长和广大群众公开道歉。我们将以此为鉴，在全校教师中集中开展思想作风整顿，认真查找在教师管理，特别是在教师思想道德建设方面存在的问题和不足，进一步加强教师的职业道德教育，坚决杜绝类似事件的再次发生，努力建设一支人民满意的高素质的教师队伍。”
